What is Lua Custom Tailor?
Lua Custom Tailor is a bespoke tailoring business in central Đà Nẵng specializing in casual, elegant clothing made with premium natural fabrics. We combine thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship, and personal attention to create clothing that reflects each customer’s individual style.
Where are you located?
We are located at 162A Nguyễn Chí Thanh, Hải Châu, in the heart of Đà Nẵng, Vietnam. We occupy the second floor of a hundred-year-old house, just a few blocks from the Han Market and the Dragon Bridge.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome. However, as a small, family-owned business, we recommend contacting us in advance by message or phone to help us provide the best possible service.
What kinds of clothing can you make?
We make a wide range of clothing, from simple shirt-and-shorts sets and trousers to casual and more formal dresses, suits, and wedding attire. Casual elegance is our hallmark, but we are flexible in our approach and welcome a wide variety of styles, designs, and individual requests.
Do you make both men’s and women’s clothing?
Yes. We make bespoke clothing for both men and women, with an emphasis on elegant, comfortable designs suited to your individual preferences.
What fabrics do you specialize in?
We specialize in premium linen, silk, and cotton, chosen for their natural qualities, comfort, and beauty. We also work with other fabrics according to customer preferences and the requirements of the design.
Do you sell ready-to-wear clothing?
Yes. We offer a limited selection of handmade, ready-to-wear garments. Many of these designs can also serve as the starting point for a custom garment, adapted to your preferred fit, style, color, and fabric.
What is the tailoring process?
You can choose from Lua’s own designs or bring us your ideas and inspiration. We welcome photographs, videos, fabric samples, and existing garments you would like us to reproduce or use as a starting point. We will work with you to develop a design and select suitable materials before beginning your garment.
How quickly can you make my clothes?
Depending on material availability and the complexity of the design, we can generally have your first fitting ready within 24–36 hours. More complex designs or special fabric requirements may take longer.
How many fittings will I need?
Usually, one or two fittings are sufficient. If additional fittings are needed, we can arrange them to help achieve the best possible fit and ensure your satisfaction.
Can you arrange fittings at my hotel or resort?
Yes. For your convenience, we can arrange visits to hotels and resorts in the greater Đà Nẵng area when needed. Please contact us in advance to discuss arrangements.
Are you located in a private home?
Lua Custom Tailor occupies part of a century-old house at 162A Nguyễn Chí Thanh. The building is also home to Càphê Một Đời, a coffee shop open during the day, and MAKARA Bar Tiki Speakeasy, a cocktail bar open in the evening.
Do you have a store in Hội An?
No. Lua Custom Tailor is located exclusively in Đà Nẵng. We are independent of and unaffiliated with similarly named businesses in Hội An or elsewhere in Vietnam.
Are your prices lower than tailors in Hội An or elsewhere?
Our aim is to offer the best possible value: quality, craftsmanship, and personal service at a fair price. We provide a quotation in advance and strive to be transparent about material and labor costs. We do not aim to be the cheapest tailor, but we are committed to delivering excellent quality and value for every customer.
